My 1877 Dutch Beaumont-Vitali Rifle
« on: January 05, 2014, 08:38:28 pm »
Only thing that sucks is the fact that someone cut the stock down many years ago :( Other than that, this thing should be a hoot at the range. If any one of you clowns want to shoot this thing once I get set up to make ammo, you're more than welcome. I've heard these are awesome and accurate. The bore pics suck, and make it look all pitted, I assure you, it's just dust from sitting for years and I haven't cleaned it. The bolt is the smoothest bolt I've ever felt on a bolt action rifle, EVER. Amazing technology for 1877 in my opinion. Chambered for the 11.35x52r (43 Beaumont) cartridge. I have a bunch of 50-90 sharps brass that will be trimmed, sized, and run through this rifle with black powder and a 350 grain lead bullet. Should be Awesome! Here's the pics. Lots of dust on it, as it sits in a corner of my room and doesn't really get much action.
"War to the hilt between Communism and Capitalism is inevitable. Today, of course, we are not strong enough to attack. Our time will come in 20 or 30 years. To win, we shall need the element of surprise. The bourgeoisie will have to be put to sleep. So we shall begin by launching the most spectacular peace movement on record. There will be electrifying overtures and unheard-of concessions. The capitalistic countries, stupid and decadent, will rejoice to cooperate in their own destruction. They will leap at another chance to be friends. As soon as their guard is down, we will smash them with our clenched fist."
